This course is for PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs and massage therapists. It will be limited to the first 16 participants. One-on-one time will be spent with each therapist to maximize understanding of techniques
Course Description
Energy Based Manual Therapy, including myofascial release and craniosacral therapy, has a vast array of techniques that harness the body’s own healing energy to decrease soft tissue restrictions and promote healing and a balanced well-being. This course expands on hands-on treatments to further explore techniques for the head and neck, the intra-oral cavity, diaphragm and psoas releases, as well as providing a deeper dive into unwinding, and rebounding.
Participants taking this course will demonstrate a greater understanding of components of the fascial and dural systems, how to assess restrictions and asymmetries, especially in the diaphragms, head and neck. They will become familiar with feeling releases using rebounding, arcing and unwinding.
Peggy Ivan, PT, MSA, LMT has over 35 years’ experience in treating patients with manual therapy techniques including John F Barnes myofascial release and John Upledger craniosacral therapy. She specializes in patients with chronic pain, headaches, back and neck pain.
